Anyway....back to my rice here. I don't know how to make those dumplings which my mum will bring for me tomorrow. Yummy! Okay, so i made this glutinious rice instead! Haha! It turns out just nice! Luckily....heehee!:P
200-300g Glutinious Rice (Soak for 1-2 hours, rinsed)
8-10 Shallots (diced)
2-3 Stalks Chinese Sausages (Lap Cheong)-diced
6-8 Mushrooms (soaked and diced)
50g Dried Shrimps (soaked)
3pcs Dried Taufo (Diced)-optional
Light soy sauce
Dark soy sauce
** Those seasoning is up to individual preference.
**Those ingredients can be more or less...i prefer to have more chinese sausages than mushrooms, cause i find that mushrooms' taste are too strong.
**Another clue is...when soaking the mushrooms, add some sugar into cold water, it will softened the mushrooms faster.
~ Steam the glutinious rice until cook (about 30 minutes)-Add water just enough to cover the rice when steaming.
~ Panfry the dried shrimps until fragnant (keep aside)
~ Panfry the shallots until fragnant then add in chinese sausages, mushrooms and dried taufo if using
~ Add in the dried shrimps and mix well
~ Add in seasoning and stir well.
(Can add alittle water if you think its too dry)
~ Add in the cooked rice and stir well
~ Garnish with peanuts and serve warm
